First Slough Fish Passage

Located at Cooper Gulch park in Eureka, this project included three distinct locations along First Slough, where we installed erosion control mat, straw wattles, and seeded with native species. We also grew and installed over 8,500 riparian plants comprised of over 25 different species. The purpose of this project was to enhance fish passage for salmonids and improve habitat connectivity.
