Eureka Salt Marsh Restoration Project

In collaboration with SHN Engineering, Samara Restoration worked from 2011- 2016 to restore approximately .5 acres of salt marsh habitat in the Humboldt Bay. Efforts included the removal of all debris and trash from the site, excavation of the channel, removal of non-native vegetation, propagation of salt marsh species from the site, growing and installation of 3,000 plants, continued eradication of spartina, and erosion control measures.
