Samara Restoration partnered with Wylatti Resources Management on this project orchestrated by The Nature Conservancy along the south fork of the Ten Mile River. Our scope included the installation of numerous types of bio-engineering structures including willow brush mattresses, willow baffles, willow staking and poles, and willow wattles. Some restoration areas had existing native wetland vegetation where salvage and replant of wetland plants was conducted. Our nursery was also contracted to grow container wetland and riparian plants which were installed per specifications. The multi-year restoration project required a variety of erosion control measures such as: erosion control mat/blankets, coir logs, native plant broadcast seeding, and wood-based mulch mulching.
