Cooper Mill Fish Passage

Samara Restoration teamed with Trout Unlimited for this fish passage enhancement project on Cooper Mill Creek just outside of Carlotta, CA. This project improved fish passage through removal of rock weirs, reducing the channel grade, and rerouting the creek to its historic reach. Samara Restoration assisted with ecological consulting, revegetation design, and installation, which consisted of over 600 native trees, shrubs, forbs, and grasses.
